Lacquering bespoke or penmaker pens is easy – I get pen disassembled or easy to disassemble. Often no trim to mask, easy.
But most “series” pens are not so obvious. While trim can be masked, the clip must be removable.
Pelikans are easy, Montblancs 146/149 – once you have tools – quite easy. Pilots – some easy, som not necessarily. Sailor – idea is simple but execution harder – cap finial is often very difficult to unscrew. Some Opus88 are easy, some sre cemented and impossible. Platinum – 3776 – no way. President and Izumo – easy. etc.
I made a video on this, and I will be grateful for any tips and trics, any pens I missed.
