Mokushin-kanshitsu

Mokushin-kanshitsu is dry-lacquer construction over a wooden core. Lacquer-soaked cloth and modeling mixtures are built over carved or assembled wood, combining the stability of a core with the strength and surface qualities of lacquer composite construction.
