Migako

Migako is a very fine polishing powder used in the final stages of urushi finishing. It is commonly used with oil and fingertips, or in dry final polishing, to bring a leveled lacquer surface toward high clarity and gloss. The powder must be extremely clean and fine, because contamination or mismatched grit can leave scratches at the stage where defects are hardest to repair.
