Arami-urushi

Arami-urushi is freshly collected raw lacquer before full refining. It contains natural water, gums, plant particles, and other components that must be managed through filtering and processing before the lacquer becomes predictable for coating. It is the starting material from which many practical and refined urushi types are made.
