Amani-yu (亜麻仁油 [amani-yu])

Amani-yu is linseed oil, a drying oil used in various craft contexts. In urushi-related workflows it may appear in polishing or tool maintenance, but it is not urushi itself and should not be confused with lacquer. Any oil used around urushi must be managed carefully to avoid residue that can interfere with later adhesion or finishing.
