Aokin-fun (青金粉 [aokin-fun])

Aokin-fun is “blue-gold powder,” a cool-toned pale gold effect traditionally achieved by blending or alternating gold and silver powders. It is used in maki-e (蒔絵 [maki-e]) when a softer, lighter “gold” highlight is desired without the dominance of rich yellow gold. The visual character depends on particle size, base color, and sealing layers.
