Kijomi-urushi

Kijomi-urushi is a high-grade raw urushi collected from the trunk of the lacquer tree and used where clarity, strength, and polishing response matter. Compared with lower-grade raw lacquers, it is cleaner and more valuable, often reserved for fine finishing processes such as uwazuri rather than rough foundation work.
